BEWARE OF SPOILERS
Okay. Wow. I guess my theory about Snape was right then. But what away to go about it! JKR had so many plots going on in this one -action packed from the start, but still not confusing.
I guess throughout the books, the character that actually hit me when he died was Sirius - just that feeling of sympathy and heartbreak for Harry...but that was NOTHING compared to Snape's heroic bravery! I knew Snape was a goodie, but nothing that extraordinary. I mean even his patronus was the same as Lily's - I think that's love in a magical world. I was just in awe of this plot line. One word -breathtaking.
Oh yeah - I don't think anyone guessed that Harry was a Horcrux himself, did they? Brilliant twist. And Fred's death was avoidable in my opinion!!! I mean, what happens to George?? And their business?? Mad-Eye, Lupin, Tonks maybe, but NOT Fred!!
The thing that actually let me down was the final chapter. Up until then writing had been absolutely impressive and the plot just hair raising; she should have just left that chapter out or rewritten it, because I was not impressed. I wanted a bit more. Well, initially I wanted Harry to die, but when it was clear that that wasn't going to happen I wanted MORE of him. What does he end up doing as a job? Ministry of Magic? A teacher? What about Ron and Hermione? I wanted an in depth analysis.
There is one question that I still have. There was a book that mentioned that Ginny Weasley was an extremely powerful witch (being seventh in line and all)...so I was expecting her to do a spell that would amaze everyone and help Harry win, but you don't actually see a lot of her to be honest. I think the attraction and chemistry between her and Harry had actually worn out.
That's why the ending was so...pfft (for want of an actual word).
something else I noticed, Hermione and Rons characters were really different, hermione couldnt stop crying and Ron, well i don't know WTF was going on with him, maybe love? or god knows what, well maybe not god but JK Rowling
OOOO Boba, this will not sit well with some of Tos's blog readers! But YAY thanx for the spoilers, though I will have to wait and get the real details from the book. I prefer having the ending spoilt rather than reading the book and getting all attached to the characters.
hello!!! talk about post RIDDLED with SPOILERS!!! I demand a warning in the title!
Bee: haha...it DOES say 'BEWARE OF SPOILERS' in CAPITAL!!

I totally agree about the ending, it was crap, i had to re read it cos it didnt make sense at first.
My cousin let it slip that Fred dies! how could she? I'm just waiting for Snaz to catch up so we can chat about it.
Yup, actually with Azkaban this was also my favourite book of the series.
I posted a link on my blog where JKR answers the questions you've asked. I'm too lazy to link it now.
