Feesaaaaaaaa!

For those of you who don't know (everyone?) Feesa is my younger sister and yesterday she turned 15. It might come as a bit of a shocker when I say that no-one remembered, not even to say happy birthday. This is somewhat due to the fact that our parents have never celebrated any of our birthdays and we've been brought up thinking of it as nothing special.
Usually amongst us brothers and sisters we tend to say happy bday and that's about it on each others birthdays, so I can understand if she was slightly peeved off when no-one mentioned it.
The sad thing is Boba forgot (these two are pretty close) and Feesa had to remind her on the day, who then told me, and later Aapa found out. I remembered two days prior (but obviously not good enough cos I forgot on the day), don't know what Bob's excuse is and Aapa says she must have wrote the date down atleast 25 times at work and each time she wrote it she thought she was missing an appointment. Oh well, shit happens.
So anyway this is "appreciating Feesa" time where I'll tell you how great she is (no really).
She has grown up so fast right before my eyes and sometimes I am amazed, I still think of her as if she is 9. I can remember there was a time when whenever we were deciding something it was the three of us (me, Bob, and Aapa) drawing a conclusion whereas now Feesa is at the forefront giving her suggestions (and if she doesn't agree it doesn't happen which I think is cool).
She's the cleverest one out of all of us, she shows it subtly and we all know she is – inshallah she'll go on to achieve great things.
One of the great things I like about her is she can talk to "the elders" i.e. aunties, uncles and other annoying relatives/friends. A trait me and Bob do not have the patience (or tolerance) to possess.
She has the trust factor with the rents (whereas I do not) so all you have to do is include her name and they'll most likely come around to your point of view. I bet she could get away with murder (as far as the rents are concerned) if she wanted to.
I could say a few more things but I get the feeling she'll be telling me not to tell the whole world how great she actually is so I'll stop there.
Oh yeah, she does a really mean egg on toast for me whenever I have a long day at uni/work and thanks for lending me the 20 quid will pay ya back as always (see this is the kind of person she is, has more money than I do – exactly the kinda sis you need!).

That's such a sweet tribute Toseef. Feesa is lucky to have you too. You know, missing a birthday is frustrating, but if you spend the rest of the year making that person feel good, I think you're ok.
And Feesa, enjoy your teenage years, but also know that life gets easier after they've passed :)
Awww.. I don't think you'll like being called soooo sweeet.. but you obviously are!! haha.. Happy Birthday feesa and you have a wonderful brother! Usually it takes us so long to realize how precious siblings are.. you guys are smart to have realized it sooner!! :)
