The wireless on my laptop is going funny these days, switching on and off whenever it feels like and making me swear at the damn thing in the process.

Yesterday I wanted to put up a post but it just wasn't happening and I couldn't be bothered using the living room computer. As a result the content kept getting longer and longer until I realised I am chatting a lot of crap and decided to stop there. Then I was about to cut it all out and make it shorter but didn't.

Trying to find a solution to getting some internet access in my bedroom I was scrambling around in my wardrobe finding a computer component when I came across a usb infrared device. I hadn't seen this in a very long time, back when phones first came about and the craze was adding new logos/polyphonic ringtones.

Plugged it in, switched on the infrared on the phone and then set it up to dial-up to connect and voila! I was surfing at 9.6 kilobytes per second, lol. Mission completed 007.
