Got my M&S Money credit card statement today and it says "Kirklees Metropoli ... Huddersfield - £332.00" dated 13th November. I'm pretty good with remembering where I use my card and for how much whereas this transaction I have no clue.
It's the largest amount on the statement and generally for a figure like that I think I would remember (or atleast I should). And what the hell is Kirklees Metropoli supposed to mean? I rang the credit card company and the operator said she can't give me any additional information at the moment and that they'll have to investigate the matter and get back to me within five working days.
I'm curious to know how the transaction was authorised in the first place because it's all chip 'n pin these days, and it's very unlikely someone could have guessed my pin.
What do you guys think, that I could have used it without keeping tabs on it?
Oh well, as my mate Rio would say "Shit happens, what can you do? Tatti howti heh".
Update (29th Nov) - Dad mentioned to me that he owes me £800, I'm like I thought it was £500 and then he reminds me about this transaction (which he did tell me about prior to using it, I just forgot). So I rang the credit card company telling them to scrap the fraud investigation, hah.
must have been an internet transaction and u dont necessarily need to know the pin for tht.i dont know abt the laws in uk but here the bank cant charge u more then 50$ in case of fraud.see some websites chk out the rules n stuff.keep calling and cursing the credit card company like its their fault.to get on top of their queue always insist on talking to someone senior no matter who is on the fone
actually these stupid shops dont always seem to use chip n pin. i went to costa the other day and the guy didn't even bother with my signatrure. How tarded is that ?
hmm ... im sure i said more than that ma brova
