Boxing Amir Khan vs. Ryan Barrett
Sunday 3rd September 2006 07:25:31 PMYesterday Bolton’s wonder-kid Amir Khan was fighting Ryan Barrett and I was looking forward to it all day. I even decided to be home by 10:30pm to ensure I didn’t miss a thing. The opponent Ryan Barrett was supposed to give him a difficult game and was talking the talk prior to the game.
I ended up waiting for more than an hour because an existing boxing match was on and then the ITV news kicked in.
Finally, after waiting in anticipation, the match started and I was expecting atleast 3 or 4 rounds (due to the hype) but Amir being how he is got in there quick and finished him off in the first round under two minutes!
I was disappointed that it was over so quick, however kudos to Amir Khan for winning yet another match. Hope he reaches his dream of becoming the youngest world champion ever.
