The Crash Part I

My elder sister is training to be a qualified optician in Specsavers all the way over in Scotland. She booked holidays from work so she could spend time with her hubby while he is here (from the States). After her holidays were over they both decided it would be best if he accompanied her in her flat (I said accompanied damnit! Don't go imaginin')
One week later he had had enough (in what sense I don't know) and so my sis brought him back to ours. Maybe because Scotland is deadly shite as she is always telling us.
They arrived (to ours) on Saturday and was too tired to return the same day; she decided she would make her way back to her flat on Sunday as she had to be at work the day after.
The only problem was on a Sunday there are a limited number of trains and busses and it would have taken her 10 hours to reach her destination instead of the usual 4/5 hours. She was miffed but was prepared to see it through until Mum found out of the situation and had a wonderfully brilliant idea.
Mum had wanted to go to Scotland ever since Sis had started her training there, so Mum being Mum offered her a lift; Boba and the youngest Sis jumped along too. The four girls set off around 5'ish and more than half of their journey later they're on the motorway dual-carriageway. This is where the crash takes place.
