Dewsbury Atrocity In The Media
Sunday 5th June 2005 04:29:00 AMShocking news about Dewsbury is being reported in the main stream media, I nearly choked on my roti (that's chapatti for you non-Asians) when I heard about it as I watched the 10 o'clock BBC news.
From the Dewsbury Reporter
On Wednesday (1st June), specially trained officers began the slow process of questioning the youngster about what happened to him on Tuesday night, how he got to the woods and how he came to have bruises on his body and marks around his neck
How could this happen in little old Dewsbury? I am absolutely shocked, appalled, and angry at these ridiculously stupid teeny-boppers for their actions.
Even the other side of the world is reporting about the unfortunate incident that took place. Here's an excerpt from the Herald Sun who give some kind of indication of why it took place:
Detectives are investigating claims the attack was inspired by a TV screening of Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves.
The movie, starring Kevin Costner, includes a sequence in which a boy narrowly escapes being strung up from a tree. There are a number of other hanging scenes.
It was shown on BBC1 on Bank Holiday Monday, just 24 hours before Anthony was lured into woods and apparently had a noose tied around his neck
Dewsbury is a nice quite place, especially in the woods, come visit us some time.
