Joey - The Long Awaited Friends Spin-Off

In the U.K the long awaited 'Joey' started yesterday - Sunday 13th February. Channel Five, who air the show are paying £450,000 per episode, a bit of a gamble if you ask me, for the Friends spin-off. Yesterday approximately 4.1 million viewers tuned in at 8pm, me being one of them.

All I can say is not bad. The writers probably had a hard time making sure Joey is still the same old loveable Joey but they did it.

He tries to find fame as an actor in L.A, living with his sister Gina and her genius son Micheal. I've only seen the first two episodes so it doesn't really give an insight if the producers will live up to the rash storylines as Friends. I hope it will but we'll see.

It seems to me that Joey will not be able to match half the fame of friends mainly because it was the friends that made it a hit. I think I will get bored of Joey unless they change his character and make him slightly brainier.

Like you, I've only seen the first two episodes so only time will tell.
