Going to Pakistan on 18th December
Thursday 25th November 2004 12:22:33 PM
Ticket's have been booked for nearly two months now, I don't know why I didn't write about it earlier. I went recently in April for two and now I'm going for three. You must be thinking this weirdo loves Pakiland, far from it my friends.
When I went last time it was because of my sister's engagement, and this time it's her wedding (urgent matters). It's funny how I don't go for ten years and then go twice in one year. The duration of my stay depends on my Uni holidays, which are three weeks. The shorter the better, as I know Pakistan is not for me.
Like everything it has it's advantages and disadvantages, I'll list a few of each:
Advantages
- Cheap food
- Cheap goods
- Motorbikes (zoom zoom)
- Nice house, spacious and easy living
- At one with nature (if one wants to be)
- Cheap computer stuff, games, equipment, etc
- The 'cheapness' - if that's a word
Disadvantages
- Beggars everywhere; can sometimes spoil your day. Give money to one and they'll all jump ya
- Mud, cow dung, half built roads, dirt all around
- Animals everywhere, like open the front door and there's a goat in ya face!
- People, sometimes they can be annoying especially if you go to town - it's always packed out
I can't believe I'm saying this but part of me is looking forward to it, get away from a daily routine.
Hopefully I'll have a digital camera and a camera phone so I'll post some pictures for ya'll.
Good thing is I've got some paid holidays off work ;-)
